Contest of Ideas for Adaptation to Climate Change and Sustainable Use of Resources in Syunik Region

Within the framework of the project "community-based nature conservation and adaptation to climate change in Syunik region (CNCA)", a grant contest was announced under the title "Contest of ideas for adaptation to climate change and sustainable resource use in Syunik region".

The purpose of the grant contest is to simultaneously contribute to the improvement of the socio-economic situation in rural areas, adaptation to climate change, rational use of natural resources and environmental protection.

The contest is held in the following categories:

1. Rural tourism (construction or reconstruction of guest houses, organization of thematic tours)
2. Support of organic agriculture (organic certification, wild harvesting, beekeeping).
3. Rational use of water resources (introduction of drip irrigation, rainwater management systems)
4. Support of local products (including handicrafts, souvenirs, food products)
5. Effective pasture management (infrastructure improvement)

Individuals (including individual entrepreneurs), groups of individuals, cooperatives and other legal entities from the following localities of Syunik region can participate in the contest:

The size of the grant may be 800,000-2,000,000 drams.

Below is the application form for participation in the program and the list of required documents. The form is accepted in Armenian letters only.

In case of winning the contest, you are required to make a personal contribution of one hundred percent of the amount received from the grant.

During the evaluation of applications, priority is given to cooperatives established under the program. If you want to establish a cooperative with the support of the program, you can call (+374) 44 599949.
